If you’re a bike lover and want to take part in the experience of a lifetime, than the Grand Tour is for you! Going from Brussels to Barcelona in 13 days, the tour will take you from quiet country roads to breath-taking scenery in Belgium, Luxemburg, France, Germany and Spain!
More than just a bike ride, this is a tour for a cause: raise awareness of diabetes, physical activity and mobile health solutions. Join the ride and spread the word!
Everyone can take part in the tour. Whoever you are and whatever your motivation, the mHealth Grand Tour will be a great experience and great fun! Almost anyone can take part. The route is achievable for anyone who has done the required training in advance. It’s all about riding sensibly and balancing your efforts. The Grand Tour team will support each cyclist on the ride so each participant gets the most out of it .
The ride is not a competition. The teams and riders are there for mutual support and to help foster a collegiate atmosphere on the ride. Riders can travel at their own pace and can opt for completing certain stages of the race. Organizers expect the teams will mix it up on the road, which will be part of the fun and the experience.
Join us! To make the Grand Tour more accessible, organizers propose several ride options:
- The epic – all team riders ride the entire distance: that’s 13 days, 2,100 km and 22,000 m of climbs
- The stage – riders ride one or more of the four stages.
- The relay – riders share the riding each day with a buddy, either for a stage or the whole distance. This is the ride option our ambassadors Sophie and Katie chose to complete theteam.
Charity places are available for the ride at a reduced cost. You can either create your own charity team or join the IDF Europe team. Sophie and Katie are still looking for riding buddies to join their team. If you’re interested in taking part, for the whole ride or just for a stage, and for more information on costs, contact Sophie at Sophie.Peresson@idf-europe.org
